THIBEDEAU, Neil

— 67, of Arcadia, Yarmouth Co., passed away suddenly at home on September 25, 2009. Neil was a man who loved life with his family. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife and best friend, Jancinta Doucette-Thibedeau. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and co-workers. Neil had an early career in the Air Force and then became a skilled carpet layer. He was a jack of all trades and a master of many as well. His beautiful gifts of woodworking will long be treasured. In his later years he worked at the Yarmouth YMCA, and for the Department of Fisheries, and lately at the Yarmouth Airport as a Commissionaire. Neil was a man who loved to be busy. He took on leadership roles in many groups like TOPS. He was a well- known square dancer and caller, and an avid Goldwing drier. His latest passion was being a house father to many international students. Neil is survived by his wife, Jacinta; step-son, Daniel Muise and wife Kerry, Pleasant Lake; stepdaughter, Tammy Muise and friend Gordie Frank, Halifax; grandchildren, Ashley, Kayla, Jordan, Jacey Lee, and stepgranddaughters Taylor and Evelyn Kerr; sisters, Helen Muise, Yarmouth; Kay Buckley, Ontario; brother, Billy Muise, Yarmouth; mother-in-law, Kathryn Doucette, Arcadia; sister-in-law, Irene Thibodeau (Henry), Meteghan River; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Nancy), Steve (Lavern), Ronald (Emilda), of Yarmouth; Walter (Melissa), Digby; sister-in-law, Pam Doucette, Arcadia; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Edward Muise (Yarmouth); mother, Natalie Duquette (Sackville); brother, Edward Jr. (Yarmouth); father-in-law, Edmund Doucette (Arcadia); brother-in-law, Arthur Doucette. Visitation will be held in H. M. Huskilson's Funeral Home today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in St. Ambrose Cathedral Tuesday, September 29 at 11 a.m. with Father John MacPherson officiating. Burial service will be at a later date. Family flowers only and donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.
